Alexandria Finds Purpose in Every Step

In the often challenging landscape of career transitions, stories of resilience, self-discovery, and community support shine brightest. Today, we're sharing a glimpse into Alexandria's journey, a remarkable individual who recently visited DFSA.

Alexandria's connection to our services runs close to home, thanks to her sister, an educator at IDEA Public Schools, who consistently refers others our way. It was this network of support that brought Alexandria to our doors, and left her feeling empowered following a resume review session. "I received some great pointers," she shared, "they really helped dissect my resume." With some quick tweaks now in progress, Alexandria is set to make her next move.

Her career philosophy is beautifully simple, but profound: "Be happy in a role knowing that you're helping someone help themselves."

The Search for Meaningful Work

Currently, Alexandria is open to a variety of roles that leverage her unique strengths and passion for helping others. She's exploring opportunities in resource development, project coordination, training, and customer service. What truly excites her, however, is the dynamic nature of administrative support, where she can serve as the "voice of the customer" on the management side, bridging the gap between client needs and organizational goals. Her previous experience in dental benefits administration, specifically handling complaints and grievances, perfectly illustrates her ability to navigate complex situations while advocating for others.

A Foundation of Dedication

Alexandria's roots trace back to Killeen, but Austin has been her home for 11 years as of July 11th, where she lives with her two sisters. Her educational path showcases a deep commitment to learning and growth. She earned an Associate's in General Studies from Central Texas College in 2006 and pursued a Bachelor's in Technical Management from DeVry University in 2016.

Giving Back and Looking Forward

Beyond her professional aspirations, Alexandria is deeply invested in serving her community. She plans to attend an upcoming Toast & Tour at DFSA and volunteer orientation.

"DFSA has been a great experience. I love the fact that women are helping women," Alexandria expressed, highlighting her appreciation for the resources and supportive environment.

Alexandria's journey is a powerful reminder that every step, every challenge, and every act of service contributes to a richer, more fulfilling career path. We're excited to see where her dedication and compassionate spirit take her next!
