Build relationships, develop new skills and make a difference with individual volunteering.

  • Career Coaching

    Virtual or In-person: Assist clients via phone or video chat or in person at the DFSA office. Clients can focus on whatever they need to take the next step in their career journey. Common topics include: resume editing, interview practice, job search skills.

  • Professional Clothing Styling

    In-person: Professional styling volunteers help women create two outfits for interviews or employment in our boutique.

  • Path to Employment Mentor

    Virtual: Six-week mentoring program that follows a curriculum to help clients become career-ready. Mentor/Mentee pairs focus on goal setting, resume building, interview preparation and job search strategies. Mentors meet one hour a week for six weeks via video chat.

  • Sorting Inventory

    In-person volunteers receive clothing donations from the public. Volunteers sort donations, prepare clothing for clients and re-stocking inventory in our boutique.

  • Client Service Administrators

    In-person volunteers assist with daily operations by working at our front desk. Volunteers answer phones, assist clothing donors, return phone calls and emails.

  • Community Connectors

    In-person: Help spread the word about our mission at community outreach events. This position may include tabling, short presentations or networking.

  • Lunch & Learn

    Hear from a Dress for Success Austin representative about our mission and how you can support Austin women. Hosted at your office or via Zoom.

  • Boutique Bash

    Help us keep our boutique styles up to date by sorting through new clothing donations, clearing out old pieces and organizing inventory.

  • Donation Drive

    Inspire your friends, family or colleagues to collect in-kind donations for DFSA, including professional clothing, handbags, shoes, toiletries, and cosmetics.
