Myranda hopes to turn her love for design into a career

Myranda just graduated from Austin Community College with her associate’s in visual design, but this is just the beginning. She is currently prepping for her fall semester at Western Governors University to pursue a bachelor’s in marketing through their award-winning online degree program.

With a passion for all things design, she is looking forward to adding to her skill set and learning more tools for success and her future career. Myranda is no stranger to creativity and found her initial love for the industry when she started her own clothing brand and created a website from scratch. This sparked her interest in learning more with the intention of creating landing pages and other creative materials for companies.

Originally from New York, Myranda initially spent some time in Houston before moving to Austin five years ago. Her love for beauty, fashion and entrepreneurship also inspires her to explore additional creative avenues for her future business endeavors. She has experience with social media and working at a computer store in Austin and always finds ways to implement her learnings through her work.

Myranda shares that learning new things inspires her and combining her creativity with tech is ever changing so that makes her want to keep going and keep learning. In her free time, she enjoys networking and volunteering for organizations that prioritize housing assistance as well.

She credits her recent success at Austin Community College to the Visual Communication department and values all the teachers that made the first step in her career possible. Myranda’s older sister and father recently received their bachelor’s degrees and she hopes to follow in their footsteps to achieve more academic achievements in the near future.
