The Oswaldo A.B. Cantu Pan American Recreation Center and Neighborhood Park along with the ESB Mexican American Cultural Center present Austin's longest running free concert series: The Pan Am Hillside Summer Concert Series 2025! In its 67th year, this concert series is a much loved tradition in East Austin, so grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers and get your familia together for this anticipated free event!
The concerts take place Tuesdays in July from 6-9pm on the outdoor “Hillside” next to the Pan Am Recreation Center, at 2100 E 3rd Street. The Hillside Summer Concert Series is an important opportunity to showcase the music and culture of Austin’s Mexican, Mexican-American, Chicano, and Latino/a/e/x communities. Austin residents, especially those who live or work in East Austin, around the Holly and Cesar Chavez neighborhoods, gather at this annual concert series with their families, friends, and neighbors to enjoy free outdoor music.
Attendees to this free event are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, coolers, water and refillable water bottles. Alcohol and glass containers are not allowed. There will be food trucks on-site with refreshments for sale, a community resource fair with fun giveaways, and free children’s art activities. The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center is supporting this event by providing the free children’s art activities which will include mini lowriders, mini canvas paintings, luchador masks, floral crowns, jewelry making, and coloring sheets.
