Fall Extravaganza
Drop off your kids with us for a fun-filled evening of fall festivities! Kids will enjoy activities, tasty treats, games, and a movie. Parents can take the night off! This event is offered for parents and caregivers of children with special health care needs ages 6-16. Space is limited; registration is required.

Free Lead Screening Events for 78724 & 78725 Residents
CommUnityCare Health Centers is offering free lead screening for people who live in ZIP codes 78724 and 78725 and were not previously tested. Lead exposure can be harmful to your health. Children and pregnant people can be especially affected by lead exposure and are encouraged to get screened.
Registering in advance through the QR code will help reduce wait times and create a smoother experience for community members.

Operation H.O.P.E Resilient Warrior 2026
TVC’s Women Veterans Program has combined forces with valued community partners to present: Operation H.O.P.E Resilient Warrior, a virtual 17k and a Virtual Suicide Awareness and Prevention Observance in support of the military and veteran community.
Participants are encouraged to email proof of participation, photos, and or short videos to sharron.stewart@tvc.texas.gov no later than noon September 20th in order to be included in a slideshow that will be shown during the observance on 9-25-2026 and to be eligible for gift card and prize drawings.
The virtual Suicide Prevention Observance will be held on September 25th via Zoom at 10:30 AM. Registration link is below.
Parents Night Out at The Domain
CARE is excited to host another respite event on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 PM at Dirdie Birdie and the Museum of Illusions in The Domain!
Please share the attached flyer with your clients—we'd love to see them there! Children will enjoy an evening of fun, activities, and dinner at the Museum of Illusions, while parents can relax across the street at Dirdie Birdie for a round of mini golf and dinner. We have enough spots for 20 parents and 30 kiddos!
This event is open to children ages 7–14. If families have children outside of this age range, they may be able to use respite services for those children so the rest of the family can participate. If anyone is interested in accessing respite, please encourage them to reach out to me. We will be happy to provide all the information they need to access respite funds.

Citizenship Clinic Information Session
Step 1: Attend an Information Session
Attend one of four information sessions to learn more about the requirements to apply for U.S. citizenship. Attorneys from American Gateways will be present to answer questions about your eligibility. You will also receive a checklist with the documents and information you will need to prepare for the Citizenship Clinic.

Step 2: Attend the Citizenship Clinic
After attending an information session and confirming you are eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship, attend the Citizenship Clinic. The first 50 people will get FREE one-on-one assistance completing the N-400 application for naturalization. Bring the documents and information you will need to complete the N-400 application.

LEMI 101: Understanding and Using the City of Austin's Levers of Economic Mobility Index
This webinar provides a detailed introduction to the City’s new place‑based mapping tool designed to help users explore the factors that influence economic mobility across Austin communities. Austin Equity and Inclusion, together with data scientists at Every Texan, will guide participants through the tool’s features and walk through how to navigate the interactive StoryMap and Index. Foundation Communities Prosper Centers: Summer Tax Season is Upon Us!
Prosper Tax Help is excited to continue helping community members with their taxes as we resume our tax preparation services in June! Starting June 23rd through October 15th, our Tax Help team is prepared to help community members with the following:
Filing and correcting current and prior year income tax returns
Responding to IRS letters
Applying for and renewing ITINs
We will be open for in-person services at our two Prosper Centers on the following days/times:
Tuesdays 12pm – 6pm
Thursdays 9am – 3pm
One Saturday a month (7/25, 8/29, 9/26, 10/10) 9am-1pm
Appointments will be available to schedule at ProsperTaxHelp.org beginning June 8th.

With a working lunch and group discussions to help break up the day, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and overcome common challenges. All participants will leave with a helpful toolkit full of templates, guides and other resources to help keep the momentum going after this session. This workshop is eligible for the City of Austin Business Skills Certificate Program.
